JCMI's Mission

Why put off making a diagnosis for several months, years or even decades？Their particular diseases can be identified immediately from just a urine sample.

The mission of the Japan Clinical Metabolomics Institute (JCMI) is to contribute to the global community through the rapid and accurate identification of metabolic disorders among more than 100 inborn errors of metabolism.

Metabolite-level diagnosis by JCMI is highly sensitive and specific, and is completed within a short time, at a reasonable cost.

Until 1995, we contributed to early detection of rare diseases in Japan through organic acid analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Based on that experience, we have launched innovative diagnostic support called metabolomics earliest in the world.
